Privacy policy

Your account and study material

We use account details to sign you in, send verification and reset emails, provide support, process payments, and operate the study features.

Uploaded lesson content is used to generate your study outputs. Relevant content is sent to our AI providers: DeepSeek for lesson text and tutoring, OpenAI for supported image and voice features or configured text fallbacks, and ElevenLabs for voice and podcast audio. Stripe handles payments; we do not store full card details. Uploaded audio transcription runs on our own servers using Whisper.

Optional study emails

You can explicitly request one reminder for tomorrow after a completed quiz or check. This does not turn on recurring emails. Cancel pending requests in Settings. The unsubscribe link also cancels pending one-off reminders. We skip a reminder if you have already completed more practice for that lesson or reached the study-email cap.

Three-question challenges

Publishing a challenge requires a preview and your approval. Its title, three questions, answer choices and explanations are visible to anyone with the link; the original upload, source passages and your answers are not included. Do not share private information or content you lack permission to publish. Links expire after 30 days and can be revoked in Settings. Copies others have already saved cannot be recalled.

Guest challenge sessions use a random secret stored in your browser tab, not an advertising identifier. We keep guest answers for up to seven days to resume and optionally save them. The sharer cannot see those answers. If you explicitly save a completed challenge to a verified account, a private copy and its result remain in that account like other saved study material. We count challenge starts, completions, saves and later completed practice by a small set of entry-link labels to evaluate the experiment. These pages do not load third-party analytics or replay scripts.

Weekly recaps and study reminders are separate opt-ins in Settings. Recaps use saved quiz and check results, not guesses about time spent or mastery. We store your email choices, timezone, send times and outcomes to respect your schedule and prevent duplicate sends. Study emails contain no open-tracking pixels. Their links open the normal website, where the analytics described below may apply. You can turn either email type off in Settings or stop both using the unsubscribe link in a study email. Requested one-off reports do not subscribe you. Account verification, password resets and security messages are separate.

Analytics

Verification pages do not load analytics or session replay. If you open the app using a sign-in link, reset link or verification sign-in handoff, optional analytics and replay remain disabled for that page visit so credentials are not shared with those services.

If you send a question report, we save your chosen reason, optional message and the relevant saved question, answer, explanation and limited source excerpts for authorised administrators to investigate. The report is linked to your account and lesson; it does not attach your full upload, send a report email or call an AI provider. Deleting the lesson or account also deletes its question reports.

Your profile collection stores your chosen banner, avatar decoration and collectables, plus up to 90 distinct UTC dates on which you completed a saved quiz or check. Those dates preserve earned cosmetics if you delete a lesson; deleting your account removes them. These choices appear in your own account, and your selected rank frame appears in your own header. They do not create a public profile or upload a profile photo. Your decoration-animation pause preference is stored per account on your device, not shared with other students.

If Champion is unlocked, your private collection shows your current position among unlocked Champions using server-recorded quiz XP. Equal XP shares a position; device-only quest bonuses do not affect it. This ranking response contains your position and XP plus the total number of Champions, not other students' names or emails. Explicit operator cosmetic grants are recorded separately from earned practice, with a reason and date; they do not add study history or XP. Deleting your account removes its grants.

For support and reliability, we keep account-linked activity logs showing the feature used, time, related lesson, and recorded outcome, such as a saved quiz or a failed voice request. Authorised administrators can review these logs. New operational entries do not copy your tutor messages, quiz answers, uploaded text, passwords or payment credentials, and are removed after 90 days by our scheduled cleanup. They are separate from the study content you save and from the analytics services described below.

We use Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics / Google Ads to understand how the site is used, fix bugs, improve the experience, and measure advertising. Clarity records session replays and heatmaps. These recordings are not anonymised: text typed into input fields (passwords, transcript text, personal notes) is automatically masked and never recorded, but your page views and interactions are recorded and can be linked to your account while you are signed in. Retention and your rights

We keep your account details, uploaded lessons, and generated outputs while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the account panel; this erases your profile, uploaded content, generated outputs, conversations, and sessions from our systems. Records we are legally required to keep (for example, payment and tax records held by Stripe) are retained only for the period the law requires.
